This problem has been fixed in the latest version of Digital Media Converter. You can now specify the Display Aspect Ratio of MPEG 2 (DVD) videos from Tools ] Settings. You have to install Microsoft's NET Framework, and you have to install Sanyo's own plug-in for video. And if anything goes wrong, over time, then your first remedy is to re-install both again. They can get clobbered by other applications. Be certain you have the latest Sanyo firmware installed on your Sanyo IP camera. In my model of Sanyo camera, the firmware update did correct some bugs. Unfortunately, however, the Sanyo firmware installer only works with versions 6 or 7 of Internet Explorer. That means you will be inconvenienced, if you are using IE 9 that comes with Windows 7. In a worst-case scenario, you would have to send your camera to Sanyo to let Sanyo update your firmware for free. Much of this is undocumented by Sanyo. I learned it, via email exchanges with a Sanyo employee.

Thanks for your answer. The main issue of my originial posting was, that the AVIs are not useable with Adobe Premiere Pro because there are a lot of artifacts and the video is jumping back and forth. Try the motion sensor delay as well. My sensitiviy is at 1 also. This is the same problem I am trying solve as well. I get black/dark pictures becuase it snapes the picture BEFORE the setting activates. I say program error. Racermoon

I like the join-function very much, but why isn't there a possibility to select the output quality? For example: I combined two avi-files of 1Gb each and the result was a file having with 116Mb and comparatively poor quality. Furthermore: audio and video get out of sync after about 3 minutes (only in the combined video). I think, that there would be room for improvements. I would suggest a possibility to enter the target size of the output file - refer to Windows Movie Maker as an example of this functionality. All the best, Spiff.

Version 2.0 of Digital Media Converter Pro can rip the video directly from a DVD. You no longer need to worry about technical details like working with VOB files.

Thanks for the feedback/support. Very prompt. My Screen recorder Pro will be the way to go. As you say, the executable contains a buit in player. That will resolve a lot of possible issues I might have encountered as the avi file will be going to many different viewers and systems with different resolution settings. Thanks again. I have this same issue BUT the total chapters are not combined and coverted to one file. DMC is only seeing the first chapter and then only converting the first chapter. I can Extract teh chapters and it will convert them individually but it is literally splitting scenes and there is no facility to join the resulting files back together. I have examined the help files and the FAQs and the forum. If I can't solve this issue then DMC will not work for me and I'll need a refund. Pls give me your advice. Thanks

I had that same problem with my two IC-50 Micro Innovation webcams ($20 at walmart). What caused the problem was one of there applications in the STARTUP (Icatch(VI) SnapDetect). Remove it and the CPU usage will drop 50% or less. I'm sure other webcam mfg have something similar running. Check your 'processes' in the windows task manager.

My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to add a watermark image on your screen recordings. Click on the Effects menu and select the ‘Image Overlay…’ option. [image: ImageOverlayOptions.png] Select your image using the Browse button. Choose the ‘Show image for’ option under Duration section and enter time. You can also adjust size, position and image transparency.

I had the same thing happen... but if you convert it to MPEG-1 NTSC, it will play in quicktime with both video and sound--hope that helps
