Windows Media Player Mobile can play WebCam Monitor broadcasts. To open a URL 1.Tap Start >> Programs >> Windows Media. 2.If you do not see the Library screen, tap Menu >> Library. 3.Tap Menu >> Open URL. To view the video on a mobile phone, you must enable port forwarding on your router. We have published an article on this subject, Configuring Your PC for Internet Broadcasting.

Every device--PCs, routers, IP cameras, and printers--on a network has an IP address, a unique number that is used to connect to that particular system. A dynamic IP address is one that is not guaranteed to remain the same. Many Internet Service Providers assign you a dynamic address. If you are broadcasting video from WebCam Monitor, a viewer can connect to you by typing your IP address, for instance "mms:///123.123.123.123". If your provider changes the address, the connection will not work. There are several services, such as no-ip.org, that offer a solution to this problem. You can register for a free account, and they will assign your PC a name. The name will always allow someone to connect to your PC, even if its IP address changes.

WebCam Monitor's Search function searches only cameras using port 80. Please click Tools >> Options >> Camera Manager >> Add >> Next >> Add. Select the Toshiba IK-WB15a from the list of Camera Models. Enter the IP address and port number. If your camera requires a user name and password, be sure you have entered them correctly, then click Test.

The most common cause of this problem is that your computer's IP address has changed. Most computers are assigned temporary IP addresses, which change periodically, especially when you turn off the computer. When this happens, you will no longer be able to see the Internet broadcast at the old IP address. One way to solve this problem is to assign a domain name to your PC, which will remain the same even when the IP address changes. There are several free services, like no-ip.org and dyndns.org, which will assign a name to your PC. For instance, you could request sentoria123.no-ip.org. If WebCam Monitor is streaming using port 4601, you could always connect to the broadcast at https://sentoria123.no-ip.org.

Thank you for posting the log. Your mail server does not require you to log in to send messages. Uncheck the My Outgoing Mail Server requires login checkbox on the Settings tab and you should have no trouble sending mail from WebCam Monitor.

To make the recorded files longer, click Tools >> Options >> Monitoring, and the **Configure **button for Video/Audio Recording. Toward the bottom of the window, you will see a setting for "Save recordings as _ minute segments." Increase this number to record in longer segments.

From your description, it seems as if your ISP is redirecting all outgoing mail connections to their own mail server. Please try using the address and login/password for O2 Broadband's mail server with WebCam Monitor.

The Axis 2420 is fully supported in WebCam Monitor. Please try uninstalling the program and installing the latest version. Uninstall using the Windows Control Panel. You can download the latest WebCam Monitor here. Reinstall and see whether this solves your problem. If the problem persists, please upgrade your Windows components. All Windows upgrades are free of charge from Microsoft. Upgrade your Windows DirectX to DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime. https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en If you already have the latest DirectX, I highly recommend you reinstall. After upgrading, reboot your PC and try again.

The Microsoft LifeCams are directly attached to computers. They are not IP cameras, and can only be seen directly from the computer they are plugged into. Using WebCam Monitor, you can stream the video from your camera to other computers. In that case, yes, you would use the mms:// stream. The actual URL to use will be displayed in the program's Event Log when you start streaming. If you would like to view your camera over the Internet, you may have to use Port Forwarding. The technique to do this is explained in our article, Configure Your Camera and Router for Internet Streaming.

WebCam Monitor only connects to one camera at a time. The monitoring light for the second webcam will activate if you switch to previewing that camera. We have an article that explains how to effectively use multiple cameras in WebCam Monitor. You can view the article here. If you have IP cameras, you can view, monitor, and record up to 16 cameras simultaneously, using Security Monitor Pro.

If you would like to schedule a period that starts before midnight, and ends the following day, you should create two Weekly entries. Let's say you want to start recording at 7:00 pm Monday and stop at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. Create an entry for Monday that starts at 19:00 and has no stop time, and one for Tuesday that starts at 00:01 and ends at 07:30. WebCam Monitor will monitor continuously between 19:00 and 07:30.

The equivalent of shutter speed for a webcam is the frame rate. You can increase the frame rate by clicking the File menu and choosing Video Properties.

Recording works normally in the trial version, except that recorded video is watermarked with the words "Trial Version" and "WebCam Monitor". It's likely that reinstalling the Windows Media Player will correct this problem. Please download WMP 11 here, then reinstall it. Recording should then work normally.

WebCam Monitor has no effect on Windows Live Messenger. It is possible that when WebCam Monitor displayed its icon in the System Tray (at the bottom right of your screen, a part of the Task Bar), the number of icons there became too large and the Live Messenger Icon is no longer visible. To check, click the "Show hidden icons" button (the left-arrow in a circle at the left edge of the System Tray), which will expand the Tray and show all icons. You can change which Tray icons are normaly hidden using the Task Bar settings.

Yes, you can view the WebCam from outside your network. You will have to establish Port Forwarding on your router, as described in the article Configure your PC and Camera for Internet Streaming. You may also find the article View Your Camera Remotely helpful.
