    Yes, you can minimize Text Speaker. If you do not want to see the software running, I suggest you minimize it to the system tray when you close the application window. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the tool bar. Select ‘On close minimize Text Speaker to system tray’ option and click OK. [image: Settings.png] When you close the software, it will be minimized to the notification area. Double click on the icon in the tray to restore the application window.

    Yes, this can be done with the help of Talking Reminders in Text Speaker. Click on the ‘Talking Reminder’ icon on the tool bar. Then click ‘Create’ in the Talking Reminder dialog.     Yes, you can use Text Speaker for reading website pages. First, configure keyboard shortcuts. Click on the ‘Settings’ icon on the tool bar and then go to the ‘Keyboard Hotkey’ tab.     In Text Speaker you can add a bookmark to mark the point to begin reading. To add a bookmark, select the text, click on the ‘Edit’ menu and choose the ‘Add Bookmark’ option. Save the change to the file. The next time when you open the file in Text Speaker, go to the ‘Edit’ menu and select the ‘Go To Bookmark’ option. Choose the bookmark you added. Now, click on the ‘Speak’ menu and select ‘Speak from Current Cursor Position’ option.

Once you have installed the voices, they will be listed in Text Speaker.     Text Speaker has a Talking Reminder feature. You can use it to read the instructions aloud at a scheduled time. Just type your instructions in the Message box on the ‘Reminder Details’ dialog.     Yes, what you would like to do is possible with Text Speaker. You need to outline the important points from each chapter. Once you outline the text, just convert the outlined text to an audio file. To outline the text, select the text you want in your audio file and right click to choose the 'Outline Area' option. After finishing the outlining, go to the 'Speak' menu and select the 'Convert Outlined Text' option. You can either convert it into a MP3 or WAV audio file.     Text Speaker allows you to adjust pause durations in your text. Place your mouse cursor at the point you want to insert a pause, then right click and select the 'Insert Pause' option. You will see different values for the pause duration. Select one of the predefined values if they are adequate. There is also an option, 'User Defined', which allows you to enter the time in seconds. With this option you can have the customized pause length between sentences or bullet points and sections.

    Yes, you can use Text Speaker to get the audio files you want. Type your entire message once and convert it to an audio file. Next, go to the ‘Edit’ menu, select the ‘Replace…’ option. Enter the name of the person for whom you have created the audio message earlier and replace it with the new person's name at all places. After replacing, again convert the text to an audio file. Repeat the process, making sure you rename the audio files so you do not overwrite previous ones.

    You can reduce the MP3 audio file size in Text Speaker by selecting the proper values for Audio Frequency, Bitrate and Audio quality from the Audio Properties dialog. [image: MP3Properties.png] If you have selected high values for quality, bitrate and frequency, then the output MP3 file will be large. Try choosing a lower bitrate. Please note that the size of the MP3 file will also depend on the size of E-book which you are converting.

Choose the key combination to start speaking, stop speaking, pause/resume speaking as shown below. You don’t have to copy the content of email to Text Speaker, anything on your screen can be read aloud.
