Yes, you can rename the file using the FTP Upload Settings in WebCam Monitor before the transfer. Select Upload Status option from View menu. Click on 'Configure Upload Settings' button and select upload photo option. Click on the 'Rename photo files to' checkbox and enter the file name in the text box. You can overwrite the existing file or append date-time or a sequence number to the file name during uploading. Appending date and time will save all the files on the FTP server. You can use the broadcast feature in WebCam Monitor to broadcast your USB camera feeds and watch them remotely. Before starting broadcasting make sure you have a static IP address for the PC where the camera is connected. A static IP address does not change. You can configure broadcast settings from the Edit camera dialog under the broadcast tab. Select the static IP address and port number for broadcasting. Once you finish configuring all the settings, start the broadcasting for your webcam. Use the broadcast IP address and port number to view the broadcast stream in Windows Media Player from a remote location. [image: ConfigureBroadcasting.png]

You have two options to remove previously recorded media files in WebCam Monitor. If you want to remove the files after uploading, select the checkbox ‘After uploading, delete files from this PC’ in the FTP upload settings and re-start monitoring. You will notice that the files will be deleted from local folder immediately after upload. [image: ftp-upload-settings.png] The other way you can remove recordings from the local folder is to delete them based on how old they are. From the general settings select the ‘Auto delete files older than’ option and enter the number of days. This will remove the files which are older than specified number of days.
