    My Screen Recorder Pro can merge multiple videos into a single file. To combine multiple screen recordings, click Tools >> Join Files. Click on the Add button to select the files to join. You can add WMV and AVI files. Arrange the order in which you want the files to be joined, using the Move Up and Move Down buttons. [image: msrpro-join-files.gif] On the next page, choose the output file format from the ‘Video format’ drop-down list. You can create the output file in WMV, AVI, WebM or MP4 format. Select the ‘Video profile’ according to your needs. Enter the file name for the output file and click the Next button to start the join process.     My Screen Recorder Pro can create a video executable file containing all your screen recordings and assign a password to open the file. To create a video executable file, click on the Video Executable icon from the tool bar. On the Create Video Executable dialog, click on the Add button to include your screen recordings. You can add multiple files. On the next page, select the Require password for viewing option and enter a password. To open this file the correct password will be required. This is a way to protect your screen recordings so only the intended recipients can view the video.

    My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to schedule a screen recording. You can add a schedule to record your screen every morning for half an hour. To configure a schedule, click on the Schedule icon on the toolbar. Next, choose a folder location to save the scheduled recording, select the recording type and the profile. On the next page, select the 'Daily' schedule type and enter the start time as 9:00. Set the Recording duration option to 30 minutes and the Record every option to 1 day. Recordings will be saved automatically to the folder you selected.

    There are several actions that can be performed in My Screen Recorder Pro before starting and/or after completing a scheduled recording. You can configure My Screen Recorder Pro to display a confirmation message before starting the scheduled screen recording. To do this, click on the Schedule icon from the toolbar. Enter the start date-time and schedule type. On the next page, look for the Optional actions to perform at the start of the screen recording section and click on the New button. [image: MSRPpost5756.jpg] On the Perform Actions Before Recording dialog, select the Display a message box option from the ‘Actions’ drop down. Enter the Title and Message to display, and select the Ok and Cancel button option from ‘Confirmation’ dropdown. You can see the preview by clicking on the Preview button. You can click Ok to continue or Cancel to stop the screen recording.

    You can use the custom region recording in My Screen Recorder to record the application window. To record a region, click on the Record icon from the toolbar. On the Recording Options dialog, select the Custom region option from the Record Screen dropdown. Click Ok to begin recording. The mouse pointer will change to a cross hair. You can drag this pointer and select the region you want to record. You can also click on an application window to select the region. [image: MSRpost5746.jpg] To pause and resume recording, I suggest using the keyboard shortcuts. Go to Settings >> Keyboard and configure the shortcuts for pause and resume.     My Screen Recorder Pro can perform screen recording without manually starting it by using the Schedule option. To schedule your screen recording, click Tools >> Schedule Recording. Enter the schedule name and select the output folder to save the recording. Choose the Recording type and profile. [image: SchedulerPage1.png] Navigate to the next page, and select the schedule type as 'Daily'. Set the start date and time. The time selected is in 24-hour format. If you want to start the recording at night at 9:00 PM then set the time to 21:00. After selecting the time, enter the Recording duration in hours. Navigate to the Next page and click the Finish button to save the settings. This way the screen recording will be performed and the recorded file will be saved in the selected output folder.

    Use the Time Lapse recording feature in My Screen Recorder Pro to record frames at a specified time interval. To configure settings for Time-Lapse recording, click the Settings icon from the toolbar. On the Recording tab, select Advanced Screen Recording Options. Choose Time-Lapse recording and set the time interval value in seconds to 5. You can also set the playback speed of the video. [image: MSRPpost5722.jpg] Next, click the Record icon on the toolbar to start screen recording. When recording starts, one frame will be captured every 5 seconds. When you playback the recorded file, the time appears to be moving faster. Note: Audio capturing is disabled during time-lapse recording.

    My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to quickly search screen recordings within a folder. To search for a screen recording in a folder, go to File >> Search. Select the folder to search for your media files. You can enter a few characters of file name to begin searching. You can also check the Date option and find older files which are Created or Modified On / Before / After the selected date. [image: MSRPpost5708.jpg] You can also select the File Type as Video file / Audio file to make the searching process faster. If the file is present, it will be shown in the search result. When you double click on a file name, it will be highlighted in the list on the main user interface. The search feature allows you to quickly search your media files based on file name, date and file type.

    There is a setting in My Screen Recorder which allows you to skip the timer which appears at the beginning of screen recording. To skip the countdown, click the Settings icon on the toolbar. On the General tab, uncheck the 'Display the countdown when starting a screen recording' option and click the OK button. [image: MSRpost5689.jpg] Now when you start screen recording, the timer will not be shown. If you want preparation time before recording starts, you can re-enable the countdown timer.

    My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to create folder shortcut to any folder that is present on your PC. This way you can save your recorded videos on any drive of your PC and create a folder shortcut for it. To create a folder shortcut, go to File menu >> Folder Shortcut >> Add. Select a folder on another drive and click OK button. You can also create new folder on drive. Once created, it will be listed in the ‘Folder Shortcuts’ list on the left hand side of application. You can also create a folder shortcut by dragging and dropping a folder from the file explorer in the folder shortcut list view.     You can change the appearance of your mouse click from the settings in My Screen Recorder Pro. Start by clicking the Settings icon from the toolbar. On the Effects tab, go to the Mouse Movement Effects section and click the Mouse Effects button. Choose the Square shape to from the Mouse highlight shape dropdown list. There are two options for mouse clicks - Highlight Left mouse click and Highlight right mouse click. You can select a color by clicking on the rectangle for the 'Color' field. You can also adjust the size of your square shape. [image: MSRPpost5664.jpg] Start recording the screen. When your recording is complete, you will be able to see the mouse clicks highlighted in a square shape in red when playing the recorded file. Note: The mouse effects will appear when you play back your recording. They will not appear while you are creating the recording.

    My Screen Recorder Pro can record audio from the microphone along with recording the PC screen. To record audio from the microphone, click on the Record icon from the toolbar and select the checkbox to ‘Record Audio’. This option will be disabled if no audio recording device is found.     My Screen Recorder Pro allows you to hide desktop items while recording the screen. To hide the desktop icons, click on the Settings option from the toolbar and go to the Display Options tab. Look for the Change Windows appearance during recording section and select Hide desktop icons. Click on the OK button. [image: MSRPpost5639.jpg] Start recording the screen. You will notice that all the desktop items including files, folders and shortcuts will be hidden. When you stop screen recording all the items will be visible on the desktop again.

    You can configure My Screen Recorder to save only the last few minutes of screen recording. Open My Screen Recorder and click on the Settings icon from the tool bar. On the 'Recording Options' tab, check the 'Timed Recording Options' and set 'Save the last N minutes of recordings' option to 5 minutes. Click OK to save the settings. You can change the number of minutes to a different value if find you need a longer recording.     The scheduling function in My Screen Recorder Pro supports starting the motion detection screen recording. Open My Screen Recorder Pro and click on the Schedule icon on the tool bar. Enter the start date, time, and recording duration. Click on Next and then Finish.     Use Image Overlay effect in My Screen Recorder Pro to add watermarks or logos to your screen recordings. To add a logo to your screen recording, go to the Effects menu and select the ‘Image Overlay’ option. Click on the Browse button and choose your YouTube channel image.     You can add an annotation in My Screen Recorder Pro which displays the time in your recording. To add the time annotation, go to the 'Effects' menu and choose the 'Time and Text Annotations' option. Select the checkbox to 'Display system date and time' and the date-time format from the drop down. Click on Edit button to adjust the position of the text annotation.     My Screen Recorder can record the full screen or a region. You have to perform the region recording, and use the mouse to move the selected region anywhere on the screen. Click on the 'Record' icon on the toolbar and select the ‘Custom Region’ option from the drop-down list. When you click on the Ok button, the mouse pointer will change to a crosshair. Select the window to record by dragging the crosshair over the region. [image: MSRpost5545.jpg] As you record, a flashing green border shows the area that is being captured. If you need to move the application window, pause your recording, use the mouse to move the recorded region and the application window to a different part of the screen. You can restart the recording when both are in position.

    Use the Upload feature in My Screen Recorder Pro to transfer your recordings to the FTP server. After creating a screen recording, click on the Upload option on the tool bar. You can choose One time upload of a single file or a group of media files to perform a quick transfer or select Auto upload in background any newly created recordings.
