The April update of Windows 10 changed many Windows components leading to issues in My Screen Recorder Pro and My Screen Recorder. Please download and install the latest version of the software on your computer. The newly downloaded version will work on your Windows 10 PC.

You can apply mouse movement effects in My Screen Recorder Pro. Left and right mouse clicks can be highlighted in different colors, so that viewers can easily distinguish between them. To apply mouse effects, go to Settings >> Effects. On the Effects tab, click the Mouse effects button. Check the option for Highlight left mouse click and Highlight right mouse click check boxes. Choose the highlighter shape, color and size. Click OK to save your settings. Then click the Record icon on the toolbar to start the recording. You will see the mouse effects in the recorded video. The default setting in My Screen Recorder is to play a recorded video after saving the file. This allows you to review your recording. You can disable the auto playback option from the Save Recording dialog. When you save the recording, uncheck the Play video after saving option and click on the Save button. [image: MSRpost6093.jpg] Going forward, your screen recordings will be saved and listed in the list view. It won’t play automatically.

You can change the video playback speed in My Screen Recorder Pro from the playback settings. This will help to quickly review a recorded video. To change the playback speed, click Play >> Seek Settings to open the Playback Settings dialog box. Use the slider to set a higher speed for video playback. The maximum playback speed value is 8x. Once you set it, the screen recording will be played at a faster speed and you can review it quickly. [image: SeekSettings_new.png]

You can use Scheduler feature in My Screen Recorder Pro to record the PC screen on user log on. The scheduler also allows you to perform motion detected screen recording. To add a schedule, click Tools >> Schedule Recording. On the 'New Schedule' dialog, select the schedule option as Record when screen motion is detected. [image: MSRPpost6058_1.jpg] On the next page, select the On Log on schedule type and specify the recording duration. You can also choose the Record until computer logs off option, but the maximum video duration will be 24 hours. Click the Next button and finish the process of adding the schedule. My Screen Recorder Pro can convert screen recordings from many popular formats to WMV, AVI, MP4 and WebM formats. You can easily convert the screen recordings and maintain a unique file format. [image: ConversionWizardVideoFormat.jpg]

You can use the Upload Media Files feature in My Screen Recorder Pro to upload the screen recordings in a single batch. Create your screen recordings and click on the Upload icon on the tool bar. By default the ‘One time upload of a single file or a group of media files’ option is selected. Click on the Next button. [image: Upload1.png] Specify the information required to connect to the FTP server. On the next page, click on the Add button to select the screen recordings. Once you have added the screen recordings, click on the Next button to start the file upload. [image: Upload3.png] Using this method, you can upload a single or a batch of screen recordings at a time.

You can use the Trim File feature in My Screen Recorder Pro to remove unwanted sections of your older recordings. Begin by creating a shortcut for the folder which contains the older videos from File >> Folder Shortcut >> Add. All the videos from the folder should be listed in the list view. Select the video from the list view and click on the Trim File option on the toolbar. On the Trim Segments from Screen Recording dialog, you will see a preview of the video you selected. Use the markers to specify the start and end frame of the output video. The shaded area will be trimmed. Select the Inverse Selected Area option to reverse the section to be trimmed. [image: cutscreenrecordings.jpg] Go to the next page and enter the file name, choose the output folder location, video format, and profile. Click the Next button to start the trimming process. You can record multiple monitor screens with My Screen Recorder Pro using the custom region recording feature. To start custom region recording, click on the Record icon on the tool bar. Select the Custom Region option from the dropdown list. Click OK to start recording. Next, select the recording region by dragging the cross hair mouse pointer across both the monitors. [image: customregion_crop.jpg] Both monitor screens will be recorded and you will get a wide screen recording. Note: Record the screen from 2 monitors will work on My Screen Recorder Pro.

The Timed Recording Option in My Screen Recorder can capture the steps that cause an issue within other software. With timed recording you can record continuously, but save only the last few minutes of recording. Whenever you get the bug simulation, stop the screen recording. The recording of the last few minutes will be saved and you will get the sequence of steps that lead to an error. To perform timed recording, click on the Record icon from the tool bar. Select the Timed Recording Options checkbox and click on the Configure button. Choose Save the last x minutes of recording option. Enter the number of minutes and click the Ok button. Start the screen recording by clicking on the Ok button on the Recording Options dialog. [image: MSRPpost5952.jpg] If you have selected 5 minutes and perform the recording for 15 minutes, then only the last five minutes of the recording will be saved.

My Screen Recorder Pro can record audio from the microphone, or the PC speakers or both at the same time. You can easily configure My Screen Recorder Pro to capture the music or audio playing on the PC during screen recording. Just click on the Record icon from the tool bar. Select the Record system audio option and click the OK button to start recording. [image: MSRpost5924.jpg] Every time you start screen recording, the audio from the music file or any video played on the computer will be recorded. You can uncheck the record audio option if you want to disable the audio capture from the speakers. Note: Before starting the recording, make sure you have at least one playback device enabled. You should be able to hear the audio during recording.

My Screen Recorder Pro supports zoom in and zoom out while recording the PC screen. You have to use a keyboard shortcut key to enable the Zoom in/zoom out feature. You can set the key combination from the Settings >> Hotkeys. When the screen recording is ON, press the keyboard shortcut key to zoom in. A frame will appear on the screen, which indicates the zoom level and also the area getting recorded. This frame will follow the mouse pointer while recording the screen. You can zoom out by using the same key combination. When you play the recorded file, you will see the zoom effect.

My Screen Recorder Pro has a Timed Recording feature to record for a specified duration and then save the file automatically. To perform this operation, go to the settings and configure the Timed Recording Option to Record for N minutes and save. N specifies the length of the video in minutes. You can also configure this option before starting the screen recording. Please make sure you add the correct duration every time you want to record the video played on the screen. You can use the mouse tracking option in My Screen Recorder Pro with the custom region recording to do exactly what you are looking for. Click on the Record icon from the tool bar. On the Recording options dialog, select the Custom Region option from the drop down and click the Enable Mouse Tracking checkbox. Click OK to start the screen recording. This will help you bring focus to a particular point while creating your video tutorials.

My Screen Recorder Pro can create a password protected video executable file from your screen recordings. You can also set an expiration date to the video executable playback. To create an executable file, click on the Video Executable icon on the toolbar. Add screen recordings by clicking Add button. Adjust the order of files using Move Up and Move Down buttons. Click Next button to configure the Password settings. Select the ‘Require password for viewing’ checkbox and enter the password. Use the Do not launch Video Executable after option to set the expiration date to your executable. This will not allow anyone to watch the Video Executable after the specified expiration date. Click the Next button to create the video. The users having the correct password can watch the video until the expiration date is reached. My Screen Recorder Pro can record a mobile screen while recording the PC desktop. To record the mobile screen, install the Screen Cast application on your mobile device. Open My Screen Recorder Pro, click on the Settings icon on the toolbar and switch to the ‘Recording Options’ tab. Select the Record mobile screen checkbox and enter the URL and password from the Screen Cast application. Click OK to save the changes. [image: MSRPpost5850.jpg] Start the screen recording using File >> Record. Use the keyboard shortcut keys to add and remove the mobile screen from your PC. Set the shortcut keys from the Hotkeys tab. You can also customize the size and position of the mobile screen window on your PC.

My Screen Recorder Pro can capture webcam video while recording the PC screen to create more interactive video presentations. To capture webcam video, first connect the webcam to your PC and click on the Settings icon from the tool bar. On the Recording Options tab, select the Record Webcam checkbox and choose the webcam from the drop down list. Click OK to complete the settings. You can adjust the size and position of the Webcam window by clicking and dragging the window while recording. First, create a few test videos to check the webcam window settings. You can use the hotkeys to easily add or remove the on-screen webcam while recording is in progress.

Use the Scheduling system in My Screen Recorder Pro to record the PC screen in hidden mode at a specific time. First, you have to configure a schedule for recording. To configure a schedule, click on the Schedule icon on the toolbar. Go to the ‘Schedule options’ section and select Launch the application in hidden mode’. Choose the recording profile, type and output folder location. [image: MSRPpost5828.jpg] On the next page, select the 'Daily' schedule type. Enter the start date, recording start time as 15:00 and set the recording duration. Click on the Next button and complete the settings. The file will be saved automatically.

In My Screen Recorder Pro you can easily add text annotations in your screen recordings and choose to display it for the first N seconds. To add text annotations, go to Effects >> Time and Text Annotations. Click the New button under the 'Text Caption' section. On the Options dialog, enter the text to be displayed in the text area. Look for the Duration section and select Show caption for the first option. Specify the number of seconds you want to display the text label. You can also adjust the text size, font, and position. The text label will be displayed on the recorded file for the selected duration.
