In WebCam Monitor you have some filename renaming options when saving your photo(s) to the FTP server. To configure these settings, click on the Configure button for the Upload Media Files action from the Quick access panel. Go to the ‘Upload options’ section and select the Upload photos to my website option from the drop down list. Next, select Rename photo files check box and choose the ‘Append sequence number from 1 to 99’ option. Click Ok to save the settings. [image: WCMpost5782.jpg] Whenever you perform a FTP upload, the images will be uploaded to the FTP server with a sequence number appended to the filename. This way you can have a collection of N most recent images. Note: Once the counter reaches the selected value, it will be reset to 1 and starts from the beginning.

There are several actions that can be performed in My Screen Recorder Pro before starting and/or after completing a scheduled recording. You can configure My Screen Recorder Pro to display a confirmation message before starting the scheduled screen recording. To do this, click on the Schedule icon from the toolbar. Enter the start date-time and schedule type. On the next page, look for the Optional actions to perform at the start of the screen recording section and click on the New button. [image: MSRPpost5756.jpg] On the Perform Actions Before Recording dialog, select the Display a message box option from the ‘Actions’ drop down. Enter the Title and Message to display, and select the Ok and Cancel button option from ‘Confirmation’ dropdown. You can see the preview by clicking on the Preview button. Click the Ok button and finish the settings. [image: MSRPpost5756_1.jpg] A confirmation message box will appear on the screen when the scheduled start time arrives. You can click Ok to continue or Cancel to stop the screen recording.

Use the Mask area feature in Security Monitor Pro to block off monitoring for motion from a selected area. To add a mask, click the Manage Camera icon on the toolbar. Select the camera and click the Edit Camera button. Go to the Mask Area tab and select the Enable Masking checkbox. Adjust the shape of the mask according to your requirement by clicking on the box and dragging it. Add additional masks for the areas you don't want to monitor. Click the OK button to save your changes. [image: MaskArea.png] Once you put a mask on the camera preview, start motion detection monitoring. Notice how motion behind the masked region will not get detected. This will reduce the possibility of unwanted triggering of alerts.

You can capture and upload photos to FTP folder with WebCam Monitor. Using the FTP upload you can transfer video recordings and photos to a server and easily access them from a remote location, and share them with others. To configure the FTP upload, connect USB camera to your PC and open WebCam Monitor. Click on the Add Webcam icon on the toolbar. Your webcam will be listed in the camera model drop down and you should see the camera preview. Go to the Actions tab, choose either the motion detection or regular interval monitoring action. Next, select the Take Photo and Upload Media Files actions. Enter the FTP details required to connect to the FTP server such as FTP IP address, username and password. [image: WCMpost5704.jpg] After saving the FTP details, you will see the FTP upload settings. Click the Browse button to select the folder on the FTP server to upload captured photos. [image: WCMpost5704_1.jpg] Click the Monitor icon on the toolbar to start monitoring. Once monitoring is started, photos will be captured and uploaded to the FTP folder.
