You can change the brightness for your webcam from WebCam Monitor. While adding your webcam, click on ‘Camera properties’ link on add camera dialog and adjust the brightness level. [image: add-webcam.png] You can also access ‘Camera properties’ by right clicking on the camera preview or from the ‘Camera’ menu. Note that the dialog shown after clicking on ‘Camera properties’ link is specific to your particular webcam. It will be different for other webcams, but you can adjust the camera brightness from that dialog box.

With WebCam Monitor you have an option to maximize the application on motion detection. While you are doing your work on your PC, you can minimize Webcam Monitor and it will automatically popup and maximize on motion detection. Go to the Settings dialog, select the option ‘When application is minimized and motion is detected then maximize the application’. [image: General_Settings.png] Along with this setting you can also select Audio Alarm action if you don’t want to record videos when you are home. This will play an audio alarm in case you left your PC for a moment and a motion trigger event occurs.
