      Hi everyone.

I'm looking for some motion detection software and WebCam Monitor seems pretty much ideal. I do have one question though.

All the information on the website relates to uploading images once you've got them. I want to set up a PC and camera in a location where there is no internet connection, and have it just sit there (perhaps even in power save mode) until someone comes in the room, at which point I want it to record what's going on and save the data (stills or .avi files or whatever) to its hard drive for me to go and look through once a week. Is this possible?

      Cheers
      Rob

You do not need an internet connection to setup WebCam Monitor. By default, WebCam Monitor saves both Video Recordings and Snaps locally. You can view these files from Recordings tab of WebCam Monitor. By default, the files are saved in My Documents under a folder named "WebCam Monitor Media".
