I am trying to convert a media center file to a small file. Doesn't make any difference which format (avi, divx, wmv). The size is set to 320x160 or lower and I still get choppy video. The sound can be 128 and it is fine. P4 at 2.8, 1gb ram. Any ideas to get a better video playback?

With Digital Media Converter "Compatibility" feature available from version 2.35 and higher, you can disable one or more MPEG 2 decoders. To view a list of filters (including MPEG 2 decoders) installed on your computer, on the File menu, click Settings and click the Compatibility tab. Uncheck all MPEG 2 decoders but one and see if you are getting a better video playback.

You can download a free MPEG 2 decoder from the following link:

Note: The compatibility feature disables a filter only in Digital Media Converter. It does not affect any other program in any way.
