Hi, I have configured WCM to use Linksys WVC54GCA. It is not supported out of the box but I have configured it as a generic camera. I am able to get video without a problem but cannot get any audio to record. I have tried attaching an external microphone to the computer to record sound and although it registers in the application when sound is made, it does not record the sound. I tried testing using audio alerts and when sound is made, it triggers an alert but it does not record the actual sound.

Can someone please provide some guidance?

      Adam

WebCam Monitor can record audio from a microphone. You may need to raise the audio levels for your microphone. If you are using Windows Vista, right-click the speaker icon in the System Tray and choose "Recording Devices". Double-click the appropriate device in the list and switch to the Levels tab. Try raising both the recording level and the microphone boost. You may also need to raise the volume on Windows Media Player when playing back the recordings. This should solve the problem.
