USB Microphone support?

I am trying to use a Logitech USB microphone when recording but it is not working. When I do the test audio, it tells me that my sound card does not support volume control on my laptop. This mic works with all other applications. Is there a specific type of mic I should be using with this application?

My Screen Recorder works with any microphone. There is an issue with certain microphones and Windows, which requires you to open the Control Panel's Sound applet and manually raise the volume for the microphone input in order to record audio.
