When I do the test audio, it tells me that my sound card does not support volume control on my laptop.  This mic works with all other applications.  Is there a specific type of mic I should be using with this application?</p>

There is an issue with certain microphones and Windows, which requires you to open the Control Panel's Sound applet and manually raise the volume for the microphone input in order to record audio.</p>
