Maintaining a continuous connection with FTP server

I use Auto FTP Manager for downloading files from a FTP server. I have a question – Does Auto FTP Manager has any provision for maintaining the connection with the FTP server if the connection with server gets disconnected because of no activity for a long time?

Yes, Auto FTP Manager has ‘Keep alive settings’ which will send a command to the FTP server at specified time intervals to maintain the connection.
Go to the Settings dialog and click on 'Connection' tab. Specify the keep connection alive interval value. It prevents disconnection by regularly sending commands that do nothing.
