      There are tree branches that partially block the view of the security camera. These branches trigger the motion in windy conditions.
      While the solution to this may seem as simple as moving the camera, that is not possible.
      What I'd like to know is if there is a way to block a specific portion of the viewing scene from being motion activated?

        You can use masking to block portions of the monitored area. This will help eliminate false alarms from a tree or other object.

        Masking is available in WebCam Monitor. Right click on the preview area, and select edit camera. Click on the masking selection on the left. Here is an illustration:
