Converted DVD file not playing

I converted a video file to DVD using Digital Media Converter. When I opened this file in my media player, it gave an error and I could not view it.

Digital Video Converter uses a MPEG encoder that converts your video files to DVD ready videos, which are essentially MPEG 2 files. To play these files you must have an MPEG 2 decoder installed on your computer like the one from Elecard. Search the internet to download one of these encoders.
