Security Monitor Pro should disable the power saving settings when you start it. Click Tools >> Application Settings >> Advanced. Make sure that 'Disable Low Power Schemes' is checked. If this is already checked, please adjust the power saving settings on your PC so that it does not turn off or go into sleep mode when it is plugged in. You can change this from the Control Panel >> Power Options

Security Monitor Pro records in the .wmv format which provides good quality video with a minimum of space. There are wmv media players for almost every device and OS available. On the iPhone you can use the app 'Streamer' or the app 'WMV Player' to view the recordings and to view the Security Monitor Pro camera broadcasts. Also, using the automated upload to an online service is an excellent way to keep your recordings safe offsite from the server.
