I have set up Security Monitor Pro with 4 IP cameras and configured it to play an alarm on motion detection. I found that some of the time at night, the alarm gets turned on from my garden camera. What could be the reason? How can I reduce these alarm events?

Since you mentioned the camera was installed in a garden area, the false alarms may be getting triggered because of tree branches that are moving when the wind blows.

I recommend masking the area on the camera preview which shows the trees or branches. Motion will not be detected under a masked area, and the false alarm events should be reduced.

For more details on avoiding false alarms please refer this article:

Another option is to adjust the motion trigger level from the Motion Settings during the night hours.
