When I finish recording, I press the Stop hotkey and it stops recording. The program doesn't ask for a filename or save it anywhere.

Please make sure that you are using the latest version of My Screen Recorder. To download the latest version, visit:
        https://www.deskshare.com/msr.aspx

To make My Screen Recorder ask for a file name after every recording:

        1. On the Tools menu, click Settings.
        2. Check the option "Ask for filename after recording completes".
        3. Click OK.

By default, My Screen Recorders saves a screen recorded file in the folder specified by the selected Folder Shortcut. Simply select the Folder Shortcut to view all screen recorded files present in that folder. To view the name of the physical folder, right click on the selected Folder Shortcut and click Properties.
