Changing the default filename settings without using the UI

Is it possible to change file name setting with out going into to the program? I need to change the setting for Assign file name using the following rules from TCG to TCGG. can this be done some other way than through the interface?

My Screen Recorder Pro has a command line mode that can be used to stop and start recordings in the background and gives you control over the filename that you recording is saved as.
