Motion events are sending many email alerts

I have SMP set up to watch a single camera from 7PM till 11PM, and when it detects motion, it will send an email alert.

When motion is detected, there needs to be some time interval where additional motion is ignored until that time interval expires.

For example, when someone walks into the room, motion is detected, an email sent. 5 seconds later, the person is still moving, and another email sent.
