• Retaining sequence of cameras after a Windows 7 system update & restart

We have a full complement of 16 cameras that we have set in a specific order. This facilitates monitoring and, when required, dispatching of security personnel to trouble areas.

We also have a dedicated workstation that runs the system. Sometimes Windows 7 will do updates and the like and the system will reboot.. When this happens, we lose the set sequence. It's cumbersome to have to redo the camera placement so that the cameras are in the specified order.

Is there a way to retain the sequence?

    • RE: Best OS to run Security Monitor Pro
Security Monitor Pro takes advantage of the advanced resources available on your PC.

I would recommend using Windows 7x64 because it is built on a newer Windows kernel that makes the most of the CPU processing ability and has better multitasking and threading.
That's what I figured as well.

      Thanx for the info.

    • Best OS to run Security Monitor Pro

I am building a dedicated machine for Security Monitor Pro.

Which OS would allow the software to operate more smoothly?

Would you recommend Windows 7x64 or XPx64??

      Thanx
