<p dir="auto">To hide the desktop icons, click on the <strong>Settings</strong> option from the toolbar and go to the <strong>Display Options</strong> tab. Look for the <strong>Change Windows appearance during recording</strong> section and select <strong>Hide desktop icons</strong>. Click on the <strong>OK</strong> button.</p>

<p dir="auto">Start recording the screen. You will notice that all the desktop items including files, folders and shortcuts will be hidden.  When you stop screen recording all the items will be visible on the desktop again.</p>
