Now all the jobs do not run. I can manually open file manager and they work, but they hang at examining contents on every job. Network connectivity exists as i can open the ftp sites through command prompt. There is no firewall between the servers in question. any ideas?

Something has changed, either on your PC or on the servers.

The first thing to try is to delete the profiles and create them again.

This would be a good time to upgrade to the latest version of Auto FTP Manager if you are using an older version. You can download the latest version here: https://www.deskshare.com/download_details.aspx?ID=15

If you continue to have a problem, you need to check the network and your servers. Here are 2 things to check:

Has something changed about your network or internet connection?

Have read/write permissions been changed on your FTP servers?
