Turned off hardware acceleration, started recording then pause. DVD won't play and get message "Create overlay failed. Please lower your screen resolution or color depth and try again".</p>
<p dir="auto">Your product works fine for general desktop recording but records blank screen for playing DVD with HW acceleration turned on.</p>

Apparently, WinDVD does not work when hardware acceleration is switched off.</p>
<p dir="auto">We have seen that Cyberlink's PowerDVD works even when hardware acceleration is turned off. Also, My Screen Recorder is able to record DVD played back by PowerDVD.</p>
